Harry Farrar performed for the annual 911 (2023) ceremony held by the Beverly Hills Chamber for Commerce. As expected, Amazing Grace was appropriate for the flag folding portion of the ceremony. Artifacts from 911 were present at the city hall location. And, Police and Fire departments officiated the traditions.

Beverly Hills Bagpiper| 911 | 2024
Now, three years after the Covid restrictions lift, the ceremony hosted by the top city leaders at City Hall. And, the same Beverly Hills location was selected. Fortunately, the same team of bugle players were available. Interestingly, the version of “Taps” is a call and response. Also, the sound is perfect for the outdoor venue.
This year, the Chief of Police announced that his son just became a Prvt. in the Marines. Amazingly, that is the same path of his father and grandfather. Congratulations. Thanks for the service of our military and first responders. Interestingly, the Chief’s father was in the Pentagon during the attack on 911.
The color guard was well represented with a tribute to the fallen. And, the bagpiper led the march. The statue area at city hall has pieces of the Pentagon from the attack. Also, pieces of the Twin Towers. Additionally, the ceremony included the ringing of the symbolic bell. Including the three time of 5 rings.

As part of the “Bagpiper | Remember 911” 2024 ceremony, the song was “Amazing Grace”. Next year will be the 24th ceremony. Time is misleading. But, we still remember 911.
In addition to 911 ceremonies, Harry and his son perform for other ceremonies including Montebello and Forest Lawn. Other locations also use bagpipes for a variety of events.
Additionally, families in Beverly Hills and Bel-Air have Harry perform for weddings. Often, guests at these weddings know Harry from his bagpipe performances.

Places for bagpipes include, Malibu, Woodland Hills, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood, Westwood, UCLA, Burbank, and Encino.
Also well know areas include: Van Nuys, Pasadena, Glendale, Glendora, Granada Hills, and Porter Ranch. Many of these locations are on Los Angeles City Limits and Ventura County. These include Agoura Hills, Oak Park, Westlake Village, LAX, Valencia, Santa Clarita and in the mountains of San Bernadino “Big Bear”.
Cities and smaller towns include Whittier, Cypress, Thousand Oaks, Oxnard, Pacific Palisades, Palos Verdes, Laguna Beach and Dana Point. Because any town in SoCal are potential service locations !
