Funerals Memorials | Bagpipe Players | Traditional Church Services.
It is common to incorporate Bagpipes at the beginning and at the close of the service. Furthermore, the acoustics in the church setting is moving and impressive. Additionally the Bagpipes can be accompanied by the choir or other grand instruments such as the traditional pipe organ.
Popular tunes from the Bagpipes include “Danny Boy”, Going Home”, The Skye Boat Song” and “How Great Thou Art”.
Equally important, coordination with the Church officiants and family is handled by the bagpiper or planner.
Graveside ceremonies commonly use Bagpipes for the conclusion of the funeral with “Amazing Grace”. In addition, a Bagpiper provides live music at the final resting place, which is comforting to have.
Music is not always available for the conclusion at the ceremony. Therefor, Bagpipers can be a simple way to fill the air with these historical sound and melodies. See more about Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn
Jewish Traditions | Solo Bagpiper
Bagpiper Harry Farrar performs often for funerals at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Hollywood Hills as well as Groman Eden in Mission Hills, CA. Because Jewish services do not usually have bagpipers, these are special cases where the well know song “Amazing Grace” is usually requested by the family.
When the hearse/coach arrives at the cemetery, having the bagpipe lead the casket to the graveside is a memorable start for the final portion of the funeral. As a result more people can be part of the ceremony.
