Interestingly, in Burbank there is a large variety of entertainment companies. And they include Warner Brothers. ABC and Disney. Also, many TV shows and movies are done around the area. Impressively, in Harry’s case, in 1993 an episode of “Home Improvement” filmed in a park near the 134 FWY. See the (still in repeats!) VIDEO HERE
The setting was a Scottish Highland Games. Because, the green grass at the park looked like a scene from Scotland. Additionally, Bagpipe players, Caber tossers and heavy athletics were demonstrated. And the show was funny! Thanks Tim Allen.

Harry Farrar performs many times a month at Forest Lawn Glendale. And, has been sending the sounds of the bagpipes into the hills at this iconic final resting-place since 1981. Events include Church and chapel services as well as graveside burial ceremonies. Also, Many famous people are among the over 250,000 whom are at rest here including Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gable, Elizabeth Taylor and Walt Disney.
The Church of the Resurrection and the Wee Kirk O’ The Heather are famous spots for funeral services and weddings on occasion. The first Forest Lawn (Glendale) opened in 1906. Conveniently, the large 300 acre land parcel is a few miles from downtown LA, and the famous Griffith Observatory is easily seen from the cemetery . And is just 4 miles to the west.
Several notable families own large sections of FL Glendale. Including the McMillan, Stewart and Wilkinson families. Annually, on Memorial Days, Harry Farrar and fellow performers participate with pipes and drums. This is the yearly remembrance ceremony produced by long time special events planner for FL, Tom Smith.

Most times, there is a need for a traditional or standard, normal bagpipe player. Indeed, Harry is the one to call. In fact, thousands of events have been served by Harry and the appearances have mostly been of a traditional format. Basically, what most people expect a bagpiper to appear like.
