Bagpiper Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills | Memorial Days is the time for the cemetery to host the annual ceremony by the “Founders Mural”. And, several traditional bagpiper and drummers perform traditional tunes for the outdoor service.
Bagpipe players are a special addition to many types of ceremonies including weddings and graduations.
Since 1981, Harry Farrar has offered solo and small groups of performers including Irish and Scottish dancers. There are often times where several bagpipe players are incorporated into services. In cases where there are hundreds of people in attendance, at least two bagpipers are used due to the balance of volume. A drummer is often included to make the ceremony powerful.
